Steiner Launches 10x40 Predator Pro

MOORESTOWN, N.J. MOORESTOWN, N.J., OCT. 4, 2005 - Steiner's Predator binocular is a popular choice among hunters who view game in heavily wooded areas. The binocular's game-sensing lens coating helps users discern subjects against green-colored foliage, giving them more opportunities to take trophies. Now, the est addition to the Predator family, the 10x40 Predator Pro, provides improved clarity and even higher light transmission.

The 10x40 Predator Pro features Steiner's exclusive Color Adjusted Transmission (CAT) lens coating that enhances brown and red colors against foliated backgrounds, making game subjects "pop" from their woodland environs. Incorporating emerging lens technology and coating systems, Steiner's 10x40 Predator Pro offers markedly brighter and crisper images, enhancing the binocular's effectiveness at dusk and dawn, or in poor weather or low light conditions.

"Outdoorsmen know well the importance of seeing game before it sees you," said Sven Harms, vice president, sales and marketing for Pioneer Research, U.S. distributor for Steiner Binoculars. "As lens technology advances, Steiner is always looking to improve the performance of its binoculars. The 10x40 Predator Pro is a product of that thinking, and consumers are the beneficiaries."

The binocular's rubber armoring has also been re-engineered so it emits almost no noise during handling. The softer, quieter rubber is also more tactile in wet weather, and its forest green color helps camouflage the unit from your prey.

The 10x40 also features Steiner's Sports Auto-Focus system that, once set for the user's eyes, keeps all subjects in sharp focus at distances from 20 yards to infinity. This feature allows hunters to scan an entire landscape, clearing or plain without having to readjust focus. With 18.5mm eye relief and foldable eyecups, eyeglass wearers will have no difficulty whether they choose to wear their glasses or not.

The 10x40 Predator Pro comes complete with objective lens cap, eyepiece rain guard, and neck strap. As part of a limited quantity product launch promotion, Steiner will also ship the 10x40 Predator Pro with a free Bino-Harness system, which keeps the binocular flush against the chest when not in use.
