have developed a very rugged, ergonomically comfortable, 30 oz., 8 or
10x 44mm binocular. The Peregrine XP's objective lenses are
nearly 10% larger than a 42mm lenses transmitting more light. The

body design with fast focusing system give it rapid handling that
makes focusing on close or distant subjects easy and comfortable.
According to Sven Harms, North American Vice President for Steiner
Binoculars, "These Peregrine XP Binoculars bring completely
technology to the binocular user, while maintaining many of the
premium features found on our present Peregrine Binoculars. The high
light transmission from broad-band, multi-coated XP optics has been an
important feature in the construction of the XP Peregrine
Binoculars. When you combine these features with the water repellent
NANO coated objective and ocular lenses, XP interior optics and
Steiner designed, dielectric mirrors (with 40 + coating layers), the
Peregrine XP's transmit the highest level of color correct
light to the viewer's eye, at the highest resolution levels, in
all types of weather conditions", he said.
Harms added, "We're really after the ultimate in user
comfort, and optical performance. That's one of the reasons we are
offering the long eye-relief eyecup to the user. All along we have
made it our goal to offer the finest and most productive viewing
experience of any binocular, anywhere. We are also very proud to have
been recently recognized by Field and Stream Magazine with their Best
of the Best Award for our 8.5X50 Peregrine Binocular", he said.
The Peregrine XP Binoculars feature an ergonomically shaped rubber
covered body in an attractive, dark forest green color. Embedded in
the armor, Steiner has used a gel-filled grip and thumb pad that
adds a considerable amount of grip and comfort when holding and
viewing with the binoculars. The XP's come with Twist-Up ocular
barrels and profiled rubber eyecups, a quick attach Clic-Loc neck
strap, and a 30 year limited warranty.
